The best kinds of Princesses are Taffeta ones……

Zoe cat Grid

There are some things in life that just go together…….Strawberries & Cream, cheese & pickle (you know I’m right), Gin & tonic to name but a few! In this instance thought, it’s a Taffeta Princess Dress in shades of Gold & Turquoise – possibly not the 1st colour combination you might think of, but when it comes to colours I am a pretty firm believer in putting together things that might at 1st seem unusual!

I was utterly thrilled when the lovely Becca asked me to make a Bridesmaids dress for Zoe and I think that, even if I do say so myself, it came out Beautifully – the Tutu is full length & very fluffy in Turquoise Blue & then the overdress is made from a warm Golden Taffeta, which laces at the back with a Turquoise ribbon. I used the same Gold taffeta to make a Cravat for the Groom whilst colour matching the Turquoise tulle to another Taffeta in order to make Cravats for the Groomsmen (& a 2nd one for the Groon!)

As an added bonus, I got to make a SURPRISE matching wand – surely, the most magical wands are the ones that come as a surprise, right??

I hope that the new Mr & Mrs Chown (who, incidentally, happen to be extremely fabulous jewellers over at Richard Chown) had the most wonderful day & that they are enjoying settling into their new life together!
