Bigger (& fluffier) is always better when it comes to the perfect Princess Dress!

There are many occasions when an idea for a spangly *NEW* Tutu Dress pops into my head, but I don’t have the materials or the excuse to make one (because, lets be honest, there really is a limit to the space available for storing all my “ideas”!!).

When I was approached about making a Dress for a Birthday party but that could also be taken on a family holiday to a Magical kingdom (& we all know where that is, right???) it seemed the perfect opportunity to make this idea a reality!

So, this Dress is actually a floor length, super full Tutu Dress made on a lined stretchy crochet bodice but with the addition of an Organza over-skirt that is adjusted & fastened at the front with a satin ribbon. It also has off the shoulder sleeves, made from the same over-skirt fabric, that adjust & secure at the back of the dress with ribbons!

The true volume of the skirt has proved to be really hard to capture in the photographs, but there is just over 250 metres of Tulle in the Tutu alone……it should certainly make for some quality Princess twirling!

This particular one has obviously been made in specially requested colours, but would work equally well in more pastel shades or single colour for Bridesmaids & Flower Girls……oh, & it doesn’t have a name yet so any suggestions will be gratefully received!
